Medical intuition – Detective for the Mind, Body and Soul Interview Ep 55
What if the body speaks in ways we’ve simply forgotten how to hear?
In this episode of Newvision Oldways, I explore the concept of Medical Intuition — not as a rejection of modern medicine, but as a complementary lens through which we can better understand ourselves. This conversation invites us to slow down, tune inward, and consider the possibility that intuition, awareness, and the mind–body connection play a far greater role in our well-being than we’ve been taught to believe.
I asked Medical Intuition Researcher: Tracy Poff to help guide us through this relatively unknown concept and help us understand better the ways of the Medical Intuit. She holds a PHD as a Transpersonal Psychology Researcher as well with a specialty in Medical Intuition Research.
We unpack what medical intuition actually is (and what it is not), why so many people feel disconnected from their own bodies, and how modern life — stress, distraction, and constant noise — may be dulling our ability to recognize internal signals before they turn into louder problems.
Rather than blind belief or rigid skepticism, this episode lives in the middle ground: curiosity with discernment. We examine how intuition shows up differently for each person, how emotional patterns can manifest physically, and why reclaiming agency over our own awareness may be one of the most empowering health practices available to us.
This is an episode about learning to listen again — to patterns, signals, instincts, and subtle cues — while staying rooted in responsibility, self-reflection, and balance.
Medical intuition isn’t about having special powers — it’s about paying attention.
When we ignore the quiet signals, the body often finds louder ways to speak.
Reflection for Listeners

- What might change if intuition became a skill you practiced, not a concept you dismissed?
